Since we will likely never meet in person, I thought you might want to know a little bit about who I am…
- I am a mom of three who adores working from home and running my own business. I love to travel – it is my absolute passion – and someday plan to be on The Amazing Race. Unfortunately, my status as a happily married mom from the heartland of American makes me less than controversial so that dream may not happen right away.
- I love cooking fun, complicated meals but I hate decorating, it’s too fussy.
- I am a learning junkie and love to take classes on new skills. I truly find it fulfilling to figure out how to do something that no one else can do.
- I am honored to call The Walt Disney Company one of my former, and favorite, employers. As an intern there during college I helped to design a training program for Magic Kingdom Food and Beverage that was ultimately adopted. As a tour-guide in The Studios and later a manager at The Disney Store, I learned guest service skills that are unequaled in business to this day.
- I am proud to be a Minnesotan. Hearty stock we are. Winter days where we experience daily high temperatures of -10 degrees and a windchill of -35 are not uncommon here. A 6-inch snowfall rarely slows us down.
- I spent my summers growing up as an Assistant Cook for an all-boys camp in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota where we had no plumbing, no electricity and lived on an island with spiders the size of my fist. I’m no shrinking violet. As long as there are no snakes. I hate snakes!
- I love animals from horses to hamsters. My favorite beast right now is our standard poodle, Jock, who I am convinced is as close to human as I ever want an animal to get.
- I get crazy when I am around undisciplined, misbehaving kids. So crazy in fact, that I decided to become a parent coach to help parents with such kids. Before I became a Virtual Assistant, I taught hundreds of parents that parenting can actually be fun!
- I have the best clients in the world and love sitting down at my desk everyday and doing work that fulfills me and makes their lives easier. It doesn’t get any better than that.
